I am a twenty-something year old girl who wants to live with a smile on her face. One of my biggest fears is to wake up forty years from now and realise that I forgot to live… I don’t believe in reincarnation so I want to make the most of my life while it’s possible.
I live together with my two loyal companions, Random and Jones. Random is a petite red cat who likes to be treated like a lady. Jones is her very fluffy grey tabby brother who is always up to mischief. Like normal cats, they love to sleep and do this whenever possible in the most (un)comfortable places. One thing we have in common is that we can adapt to new surroundings quite easily, this comes in handy because we tend to move around a lot.
I’ve got serious wanderlust and I really love to travel. I love feeling the sea breeze in my hair, sun on my skin… Nothing beats being out in the open. But I also love standing in the middle of the dense rainforest listening to the different sounds around me.
Besides these sounds of nature, I also need the sound of music (not the musical..!). You will rarely catch me without music; I simply cannot live without it. Music helps me unwind and switch off. If you put me in a silent room I slowly go crazy… unless you give me a book. When I’m reading I can forget everything around me, even the silence.
One of my biggest passions is photography. I always try to have at least one camera with me when I go out, whether it’s my digital SLR, my compact camera or just the one on my phone: if it fits in my bag, it’s coming with me. An important word in my life is freedom. When I think of freedom, I think of living for the here and now, to have the freedom to do what I really like. I want to live my life to the fullest, doing all the things I care for and I will share a little part of my life in this weblog, together with my friend Marianne.
